Abstract
Abipolaradjectivescale,thePersonalInvolvementInventory(PII),wasdevelopedtocapturetheconceptofinvolvementforproducts.Thescalesuccessfullymetstandardsforinternalreliability,reliabilityovertime,contentvalidity,criterion-relatedvalidity,andconstructvalidity.Testsofconstructvaliditydemonstratedthatthescoreswerepositivelyrelatedtoperceiveddifferencesamongbrands,brandpreferences,interestingatheringinformationabouttheproductcategory,andcomparisonofproductattributesamongbrands.
