ClicktoCall-Howtouse3CX'sChromeExtension SupportPortal » Knowledgebase » ViewingArticle Print 01/07/201810:51PM PhoneSystems SwitchboardOperations Telephones IntroductionWiththeClicktoCallextension,userscandialphonenumbersdirectlyfromtheirCRMorbrowserbyasimpleclickofthemouse.Numbersareautomaticallytransferredtothe3CXwebclientreadyforthecalltobemade,eliminatingtheneedtocopyandpasteordial.Essentially,itgiveseverypageyouvisitClick2Callfunctionality!Installingthe3CXClicktoCallextensionOnGoogleChromeGototheGoogleChromestoreandaddtheextensiontoyourbrowserbyclickingonthetopright“AddtoChrome”option.Apopupwillappearasshownabove,select“Addextension.”Youwillthenseeanotificationinthetoprightcornerofyourbrowserinformingyouthattheextensionhasbeenadded.YouwillnowbeabletoseetheClicktoCalliconinyourbrowser’stoprightcorner.Goto3CXwebclient,refreshthepage.ClicktoCallpluginwillbeautomaticallyconfigured.Youcannowbrowsewebpages,telephonenumberswillbedetected,andwhenyouclick,callswillbemadevia3CXwebclient.CustomizingtheClicktoCallextensionOnGoogleChromeByclickingontheClicktoCalliconinthetoprightcornerfiveoptionsappear:Thefirstoption“3CXClickToCall”takesyoubacktotheChromestore.Theoptionsbuttonwillopenupanewwindowfromwhichyoucanconfigurethefollowing:Callvia:hereyouhave2options;Clickonanumbertomakecallsvia3CXwebclient(onlyforV15.5)orvia3CXclientforWindows(usingTELprotocol).3CXwebclientFQDN:TheFQDNwillbepopulatedautomatically.Howeverincaseyouwishtocheckorchangeit,simplyentertheURLyouusetoconnectto3CXwebclient.Example:“https://mycompany.3cx.eu/webclient”NumberLength:theminimumandmaximumnumbersyouwouldliketobedetected.Exceptions:intheboxbelowyoucanaddwebsiteURLswhichyouwouldliketheextensiontoignoreandnotdetectnumberson.The“RemovefromChrome”optionwilldeletetheextension.HidefromChromewillhidetheextensionfromyourtoolbar.Manageextensionwilltakeyoutoanewwindowwhereallyourextensionsarelistedandfromthereyoucanmanagethem.UsingtheextensiontomakecallsWhenaphonenumberisdetecteditisautomaticallyunderlinedby3CXClick2Callindicatingthatthisnumbercanbecalledviatheextension.Clickonthenumberanddependingonwhichapp/deviceyouhaveconfiguredforuseinoption2abovethecallwillbeinitiated.Inthisexamplethe3CXwebclientisconfigured.Theclientopensinanewwindowwiththenumberalreadypastedinit.Clickon“Call”andthecallwillbeinitiated.
