BBC專訪丨任正非的自信回應

BBC:

The founder of Huawei has said there is "no way the US can crush" the company, in an exclusive interview with the BBC.

Ren Zhengfei described the arrest of his daughter Meng Wanzhou, the company's chief financial officer, as politically motivated.

The US is pursuing criminal charges against Huawei and Ms Meng, including money laundering, bank fraud and stealing trade secrets.

近日，英國廣播公司（BBC）發布了一段對華為創始人任正非的獨家採訪(an exclusive interview)。

對於美國近來不斷渲染華為「威脅」的做法，任正非稱：

「美國不可能扼殺掉我們(There's no way the US can crush us.)。

世界需要華為，因為我們更先進。

"

"即使他們說服更多的國家暫時不要使用華為，我們也可以隨時把規模縮小一點(scale things down a bit)。

」

他表示，就算美國施壓，也「只會讓我們提升我們的產品和服務」。

當被問到如果美國成功施壓其他國家(pressure other countries）來抵制華為會造成什麼影響時，任正非說：

「西方不亮還有東方亮啊。

黑了北方還有南方。

美國不能代表世界。

美國只代表世界的一部分。

(America only represents a portion of the world.)」

隨後，在談到華為在英投資時，任正非表示，「我們還會繼續在英國投資。

」

他還補充說道，如果美國不信任我們，那「我們將更大規模地把投資從美國轉移到英國(shift our investment from the U.S. to the U.K. on an even bigger scale)。

」

針對女兒孟晚舟事件，他首先反對美國這樣的做法(object to what the US has done)，並回應道：

「該事件對華為的生意沒有影響(no impact on Huawei's business )，事實上我們發展的更快了。

所以他們抓了孟晚舟，可能是抓錯人了。

」

採訪中，任正非還表示，「我們公司也絕不可能從事任何間諜活動(will never undertake any spying activities)。

而且如果說有任何此類行為，那我就關閉這家公司。

」
