  [助動詞+not]的縮寫 amnot=aren’torain’t       amnot=aren’t                  isnot=isn’t  hasnot=hasn’t                   hadnot=hadn’t                  donot=don’t       doesnot=doesn’t            didnot=didn’t                   shallnot=shan’t  willnot=won’t                   shouldnot=shouldn’t      wouldnot=wouldn’tcannot=can’t     couldnot=couldn’t                             maynot=mayn’t mightnot=mightn’t          mustnot=mustn’t             neednot=needn’t darenot=daren’t             oughtnot=oughtn’t   附加問句常用在英式英語，美式英語較英式英語用得少。

倒是美式英語常用[OK?]或[right?]當附加問句，如以下例句： 1)  Givemesomewater,OK? 2)  Youcanringmetomorrow,OK? 3)  Hewilljoinustogohiking,right? 4)  ShehastoturninherreportthisWed,right?   附加問句使用的主詞 1)  Wearehappyandcheerful,aren’twe? 2)  Hersisterwillgoswimmingwithus,won’tshe? 3)  Thatisanicecar,isn’tit? 4)  ThesepicturesaredrawnbyVeronica,aren’tthey? 5)  Totalkiseasierthantodo,isn’tit? 6)  StudyingEnglishishard,isn’tit? 7)  Thereissomeoneinthisbuilding,isn’tthere? 8)  Thereisn’tanyoneinyourroom,isthere? 9)  ThetallmanoverthereisournewEnglishteacher,isn’the? 2)  [these,those]當主詞時，其附加問句的主詞要用[they]，請參考例句4。

3)  不定詞或動名詞當主詞時，其附加問句的主詞要用[it]，請參考例句5與6。

4)  [there]當虛主詞時，其附加問句的主詞還是用[there]，請參考例句7與8。

5)  [nothing,everything,something,…]當主詞時，其附加問句的主詞要用[it]，請參考例句10與11。

6)  [someone,somebody,none,noone,nobody,…]當主詞時，其附加問句的主詞要用[they]，請參考例句12與13。

  附加問句使用的動詞 1)  Wearen’tsureofit,arewe? 2)  Theyshoulddotheirbest,shouldn’tthey? 3)  YourbrotherhaslotsoffriendsinTaipei,hasn’the? (YourbrotherhaslotsoffriendsinTaipei,doesn’the?) 4)  Youhadagoodtime,didn’tyou? 5)  Yourmomandsisterwentshopping,didn’tthey? 6)  Wehavetocallyourfriendnow,don’twe? 7)  Wehadbetterdoourbest,don’twe? 注意： 1)  當動詞是[have/hasto]或[hadbetter]時，其附加問句的動詞要用[do/does]，請參考例句6與7。

  祈使句的附加問句 1)  Cometomyplaceimmediately,willyou? 2)  Cometomeetmeatonce,won’tyou? 3)  Don’ttouchit,willyou? 4)  Let’stakeawalk,shallwe? 5)  Let’sgoshoppingtonight,shallwe? 6)  Letmeplaypingpong,willyou?     7)  Lethimdoit,willyou? 8)  Let’snotgoswimming,O.K.? 9)  Let’snotplayinthemusicroom,allright? 10)   ShowmeyourID,canyou? 11)   Givemeyourexplanation,couldyou? 注意： 1)  第二人稱[you]引導的肯定祈使句，其附加問句通常要用[willyou]，請參考例句1。

也有用[won’tyou]，表示更客氣或期待，請參考例句2。

也有人使用[canyou]與[couldyou]，請參考例句10與11。

2)  否定祈使句，其附加問句要用[willyou]，請參考例句3。

3)  [Let’s=Letus]引導的肯定祈使句，其附加問句要用[shallwe]，請參考例句4與5。

4)  [Let]引導的肯定祈使句，所接的代名詞不是[us]時，其附加問句要用[willyou]，請參考例句6與7。

5)  [Let]引導的否定祈使句，其附加問句要用[O.K.]或[allright]，請參考例句8與9。

  否定意思的句子 1)  StudentsinTaiwanneverfeeltiredofdoingtheirassignments,dothey? 2)  Youseldomtakeabreakduringworkinghoursintheoffice,doyou? 3)  Theyknewnothingaboutoursecret,didthey? 4)  Themakeupcouldhardlysatisfyherdesiretobeabeauty,couldit? 5)  Mylittlebrotheristooyoungtodriveacar,isn’the? 6)  Peterisaweirdguy.Heoftenrefusestocooperatewithothers,doesn’the? 注意： 1)  否定的詞類有never,seldom,hardly,barely,rarely,nothing等。

2)  上述第5個例句，[too…to…]的句型雖然是[太…以致於不能…]，但它不是否定意思的句子。

3)  第6個例句雖然有[refuse]這個字，但它不是否定意思的句子。

  附加問句的回答 1)  Harryplaysbasketball,doesn’the?      a)  Yes,hedoes.(Heplaysbasketball.)            No,hedoes.(X)      b)  No,hedoesn’t.(Hedoesn’tplaybasketball.)            Yes,hedoesn’t.(X) 2)  Belindacan’tspeakJapanesefluently,canshe?      a)  Yes,shecan.(ShecanspeakJapanesefluently.)            No,shecan.(X)      b)  No,shecan’t.(Shecan’tspeakJapanesefluently.)            Yes,shecan’t.(X) 注意： 1)  不管附加問句是肯定或否定，可以用[Yes]或[No]回答。

2)  假若回答是[Yes]，後面不能用否定的簡答。

3)  假若回答是[No]，後面不能用肯定的簡答。
