On29March2021,thePRApublishedPolicyStatementPS6/21:Operationalresilience:Impacttolerancesforimportantbusinessservices(PS6/21).PS6/21provides: newOperationalResiliencePartsofthePRARulebook(Appendix1); amendmentstotheGroupSupervisionPartofthePRARulebook(Appendix1); anewSupervisoryStatement1/21:OperationalResilience:Impacttolerancesforimportantbusinessservices(SS1/21);and anewStatementofPolicy– Operationalresilience PRAhasgroupedthefeedbackresponsesintothefollowingcategories: importantbusinessservices; impacttolerances; implementationtimelinesandremainingwithinimpacttolerances; mapping; scenariotesting; governance; self-assessment; groups; internationalalignment; alignmentwithotherpolicyareas;and otherresponses. TheOperationalResiliencePartswillbeeffectivefrom31March2022.ThePRAstatesthattocomplywiththerules,firmsshouldcontacttheirsupervisorstoagreetheirplansformeetingthepolicyrequirements. SS1/21willbeeffectivefrom31March2022. Wehaveanumberofresourcesavailabletohelpyoudevelopandstrengthenyourfirm’soperationalresilience.Wecanpartnerwithyouatanypointacrossyouroperationalresiliencejourneyincluding: interpretationandapplicationofthenewrules; assessinggovernance,accountability,committeestructureandreportinglines; helpingyouprepareforregulatorychangeandadvisingonthedesignandimplementationoftheoveralloperationalresilienceprogramme; carryingoutindependentassurancereviews; identifyinganydeficienciesinareassuchasdigital,outsourcing,andthird-partyresilience;and simulatingimpactscenariosforkeystakeholdersinatestingenvironment,includingdevelopingabespoketrainingmodulearoundlessonslearned.
